Right on the ski slope in Rehefeld-Zaunhaus: Apartment 1 (67 m², up to 6 guests, bathtub, separate children’s room, from € 85/night) and Apartment 2 (85 m², up to 8 guests, 2 wood stoves, family bed, from € 100/night). Both with a wood stove, Wi-Fi and parking – bookable all year round, directly with the owners and free of commission.

Yes, there are plenty of restaurants in and around Altenberg, and a trip across the border into the Czech Republic for Bohemian cooking is well worth it.
Check-in is arranged in advance and is often flexible or contactless via a key box or an electronic key.
Many of our guests bring their own bed linen and towels — and honestly, we are glad they do.
Not because we ask for it, but because it has two nice advantages:
- It is better for the environment - every set we wash needs water, energy and detergent. On short stays in particular that often feels unnecessary. When guests bring their own linen, we save resources together and do a small bit of good for the countryside here in the Ore Mountains.
- And for many people it simply feels “more like home”.
So that you can keep your travel plans flexible, we offer fair and transparent cancellation options. Up to 30 days before arrival you can cancel free of charge and receive 100 % of the booking price back. Between 30 and 15 days before arrival we refund 50 % of the accommodation price. 14 days or fewer before arrival, the accommodation price can unfortunately no longer be refunded. Important: the sliding scale applies only to the accommodation – the final cleaning, the visitor’s tax and any linen package you booked are always refunded in full, because those services simply do not arise if you do not arrive. We also offer our saver rate – our cheapest rate, on which the accommodation price is non-refundable whenever you cancel. It is ideal for guests with firm plans who want to secure the best price.
With our saver rate you get the best available price for your stay. This rate cannot be cancelled, but it is noticeably cheaper than our flexible options. Perfect if your plans are settled and you want to secure the better price.
We want to offer you a convenient and secure choice of payment methods. We therefore use the payment provider Stripe (credit card, SEPA direct debit and PayPal), whose service is not free of charge for us. For some payment methods these fees may not be passed on – that is set by law (EU Payment Services Directive & § 270a BGB). This includes SEPA direct debit, SEPA transfer and common credit cards. Payment is due only after we have confirmed your booking request – you will then receive a personal, secure payment link by e-mail. Our aim is fair, secure payment options – with no hidden costs.
Your booking starts as a non-binding booking request: you choose your dates and an apartment and send the booking request. We check availability and usually confirm within 48 hours. After our confirmation you receive an e-mail with a secure payment link; payment is due within 7 days (48 hours for a short-notice arrival). Binding your booking becomes once the payment arrives. If payment is not made in time, we remind you by e-mail; if it still does not arrive, the reservation is cancelled automatically and the dates are released again.
No – pets are not permitted in either of our apartments. We deliberately keep them animal-free. To avoid any misunderstanding: our apartments are on the ground floor of a multi-family house. Two other households live in the building, with a small dog and three cats. The cats go outdoors and also spend time in the shared garden. The entrance and garden are used by everyone; the apartments have their own doors. If you are sensitive to animals, please talk to us before booking – then we can work out together whether it suits you. Assistance dogs are exempt from this rule, see the next question.
Yes, of course. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are not pets but aids – they are welcome in both apartments, and there is no charge . Please mention it briefly in your booking request so that we can prepare the apartment and point out the conditions in the house. On arrival, please bring the assistance dog certificate and proof of liability insurance.
